July 27, 2008: "One of world's oldest Bibles to be put online"

One of world's oldest Bibles to be put online

BERLIN (AFP) - One of the world's oldest Bibles, the Codex Sinaiticus, which was discovered in Egypt in the 19th century, is to be made available online this week, the Leipzig University library said Monday.

This bible dates back to the fourth (4th) century. The bible was originally found in St Catherine's monastery in the Sinai desert. Despite the bible having pages spread across the globe, it is soon to be put online for public viewing. This great resource is believed to have the most accurate version of the new testament.

I feel that this is great news for any religious people in the world. I do not see why this is one of the top stories of the day though. This doesn't seem to be that big of a deal. Many bibles are online and for viewing. Yes this is a good thing, but I feel there are some more urgent stories to be told.

Sometimes we need to pay more attention to making the bad news into good news instead of just being content with the good news.

Thank you Yahoo News

Hi, I thaught this would be the perfect momment to ask you if you could post a question for me on one of your polls? I am from Canada and I use to live in Cornwall Ontario, I also am a surviver of sexual abuse at the hands of my father and some priests in Cornwall. Right now there is www.cornwallinquiry.ca going on and I testified in Phase 2 Unfortunately I still believe that justice is not prevailing and that there are still coverups still going on. I want to or should I say really feel that everyone possible should know about Cornwall Ontario and the sexual abuse that went on and is still going on in this town. The police, priests and CAS and other prominent people in Cornwall are involved in the coverup of sexual abuse. So my question would be " How many people know about the Cornwall Public Inquiry in Canada, a place that is dealing with a town that covered up sexual abuse? I will understand if you don't want to bring this attention to your site. I will add your site to my fav's because you share the news of the US. It's always good to know news from around the world. I just started my blog not to long ago and I am for many reasons writing about my abuse and leaving places of help for anothers to have. Thank you for your time, and your site is well made:)
